GW and I are really preparing Day 1 for absolute beginners, so this might be enough for you for now. IMO Day 2 will be more interesting in terms of learning the more elaborate tricks that we've developed over the years. If we manage to cover everything and you've managed to absorb the basics, then you should be able to follow along during Day 2.

Basically Day 1 will end on the basics of mixing and using aux effects, and day 2 will start out with fine tuning a mixdown and cover some basic mastering. I'm going to present my custom mastering suite, and explain how it's used. Then the fun begins with synth and sampler patch programming; Routing CV; building combis; etc. We'll cover a bit of rewire, and we will demonstrate some live performance stuff using combis and MIDI controllers.

Hi Kurt! I'm a new Reason user and my friend recommended your site. I'm interested in this workshop. I'm really new to the music stuff so do you think day 2 would be over my head? Thanks, Suze
