PT-Reason 2.5 extras

Extras and updates for Power Tools for Reason 2.5

Filter Up

More book spam. This article appears on the Propellerheads Discovering Reason Series, and describes how to create a high pass filter effect. This effect configuration does not appear in the book, so it’s like a bonus section! The article includes example files that demonstrate a variety of modulation techniques.

Dual Mono Cabling

A piece of shameless self-promotion for the book. This tutorial is adapted from the chapter on Audio Signal routing and Busses.

Reason Icons

Created for this project, these are custom folder icon sets for Windows, MacOS 9, and MacOS X folder icons. The Windows partition on the Power Tools for Reason CD-ROM is missing these icons which are available for download from Rasteroid Designs

Reason Desktop Images

Rasteroid Design background graphics for the CD-ROM info pages. The background images have been modified for several different screen sizes.

CD-Rom Info

This document appears on the Power Tools for Reason CD-ROM and presents information about the artists, composers, and musicians who contributed to the samples and demo songs that come on the CD. The following ReFills are included on the CD-Rom: P006, P008, P012, P013, P014, P15, P018, P019, P020, P021, P022, & Flackpack Demo W01/W02

ReWire Logic 6.3.2

Update for the Logic Audio ReWire example. For MacOS 10.3. Not tested on Windows. The Logic Song file contains a sequence and MIDI CC information that controls devices in the Reason rack.

ReWire Max/MSP 4.3.1

Update for the Max/MSP ReWire example. For MacOS 10.2/10.3. Not tested on Windows. This patch is still a little buggy. Before Reason will play, Reason must be brought to the front, then the Max transport window must be brought back to the front. Tempo settings must be made via the max transport window otherwise, the audio playback freezes.
