Over the next few days, Propellerheads are unveiling the new features of Reason 5 and Record 1.5! The first announcement is an upgrade of the Dr.REX Loop Player. Now called the Dr. OctoRex which allows you to trigger and control multiple loops on the fly. The loop switching and mangling possibilities are amazing, and you can now reverse slices!

Do you think that my Core2 Duo PC will be powerful enough for Reason 5 and Record 1.5? Should I be looking to upgrade my CPU to a Core2 Quad? Some of the new features sound fantastic, but I worry that I will need more cores than the 2 I currently have to take full advantage of them.

Is there a release date for Reason 5?

What are your thoughts on this?
