Goodbye ReBirth RB-338

Thursday, June 15th, 2017

It’s now official that the latest version of ReBirth RB-338 for iPad has been removed from the iTunes app store.
The details of what happened can be found on the interwebs if you dig around, but things change and the beat will still go on… if you don’t delete the app!

ReBirth for iPad

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Propellerhead ReBirth is not only back (again), it is better! The classic RB-338 techno micro composer software has been adapted for the iPad. The ReBirth for iPad app has several new features. Most notable of the improvements is the new standard ReBirth 303, 808, 909 graphic user interface from bitplant and […]

ReBirth for the iPhoneOS

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

It’s amazing to see the software that started the revolution make a comeback in a slightly different format, the iPhone OS. So… I’m not exactly sure what to say about this. Playing with the ReBirth app for a little while has made me quite nostalgic and has brought back a lot memories. […]

Hami’s RB-303 Skins

Sunday, February 11th, 2007

Hami is a busy man, but he’s good and it’s usually worth the wait. Sure enough the new RB-303 skins are really cool. These will replace the old skins I made for the 030-RB-303 refill. The new GUI has the look of a Roland TR-909 and not much like a TB-303. […]

Peak 5

Can’t live with it… Can’t live without it
I resisted upgrading my operating system to 10.4.6 for months, mainly because everything was running smoothly under 10.4.5. Once again, I tempted fate and performed the OS update. Naturally, things started running a little odd. Peak 4 was stalling and crashing, which forced my […]

RB-303 ReFill

Monday, June 12th, 2006

Rather than let this one continue to sit on my hard drive, I’ve decided to release the RB-303 refill. This fill is comprised of samples created using the ReBirth 303 Bassline synth, processed through a vacuum tube preamp and vacuum tube compressor. [Read More Here] I’ve received the OK from the props, […]

The RB-303 Project

Friday, May 12th, 2006

There’s an old project that’s been sitting on my desk for almost a year. Ever since I discovered that ReBirth was going to be discontinued from the Propellerhead Software line of products, I decided that it might be cool to create a multisample of the modelled bassline synths in ReBirth. The project is […]

ReBirth Museum

Saturday, September 3rd, 2005

Well, I learned about the interesting musical history of New Orleans, LA through my research for the ReBirth Museum, a new website from the Props dedicated to my old friend, the RB-338. For the last couple of months, I’ve been putting together the site content. Obviously, I went a little overboard in the research department, […]

The Business of ReBirth

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2005

Some old time Propellerhead Software users might recall a survey conducted on the props site a many months ago. Researchers from the Copenhagen Business School were gathering data on the interaction between users and a company, namely the Propellerheads and the rest of us. They sent me a final draft of the research paper that […]
